As a result of recent action by the Yarmouth Select Board:

• The fee for mattress recycling/disposal will increase from $25.00 to $35.00 per mattress to cover the costs associated with the vendor agreement for this service.
• The grass and leaf compost area has been restricted to residents of the Town of Yarmouth who have stickers and non-commercial vehicles to limit the volume of compost and comply with Mass DEP regulations.

In other news, a cloud-based License Plate Recognition (LPR) system has been installed at the Transfer Station. A reader is positioned at the entry to detect front and rear license plates and automatically validate vehicles entering the facility. The LPR will replace the existing physical sticker program, and provides accurate, reliable verification of access to the gate attendant.
