Food Waste

Bring your food waste, including vegetable scraps, meat, fish, and bones, to the Disposal Area to be composted.  There are 4 green bins near the waste oil enclosure where the food waste is collected and picked up by a professional composting company, Black Earth.  Here is more information on what can be composted: http://www.yarmouth.ma.us/1963/Food-Compost-Drop-Off.  Do not place the food waste in plastic bags unless they are BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute) certified.
